With that being said I'd still like to see if I can get a non-torrent version of iPhoto 9.5. When its all said and done though, I think I'll stick with Mavericks for maybe a month or two before I possibly migrate on to Yosemite. There is more to this with increased stability in the importing and exporting options of the iPhoto 9 application. This cuts down on the usually hard to understand exporting process and makes the user export with delight. This of course utilized Mountain Lion and I experienced a lot of the same issues with Mountain Lion on the 1 TB hard drive. But with the new update of the iPhoto application, Apple ruled out the hassle. There again my old hard drive was 1 TB and it was like about 80 GB away from filling up! However after I had the 2 TB hybrid drive installed, I initially reloaded it with the backup I had made from my old hard drive. Also 6.2.8 would take what seemed like forever to load and quite often I would have to reload my open tabs. However, if it wasn’t already updated to version 9.6.1, it will have a big do not icon superimposed on it and you can’t open it, which makes it seem as though it’s gone forever. The app is developed by Apple and its user rating is 4 out of 5. It is a perfect match for Viewers & Editors in the Design & Photo category.

Before the upgrade, I had to periodically restart my Mac to clear the RAM as it's 12 GB would slowly fill up and not clear out after quitting Safari several times. The latest version of iPhoto is 9.6 on Mac Informer. Also, Safari 9.0.2 is light years ahead of Safari 6.2.8 as far as performance goes. Anyway beyond the perception that my Mac seems rejuvenated, I haven't had it lock up coming out of sleep mode or the screen saver. It lasted about half as long as the original drive that was still working when I had it replaced! I only replaced it because it was supposedly part of a defective batch of Seagate hard drives that Apple was replacing for free. This, ironically, replaced a failing replacement Seagate drive for a supposed faulty Seagate drive.

ILife '11 only works on a modern Mac with OS X Snow Leopard. If I misunderstood your question and your iPhoto version is older than iPhoto 9.6.1 and you need to update to 9.6.1, you have to move the old iPhoto version to the Trash (dont empty the Trash), then open the AppStore and open the fourth tab, Purchases. Where can I download iPhoto 9.6.1 IPhoto and iLife will only work on a Mac. However, I did just have a 2 TB Seagate hybrid drive installed. So be sure to keep a backup copy of the iPhoto.app, if you still want to use it. When I finally upgraded to Mavericks when El Capitan was released, I felt that my Mac seemed snappier. I am starting to rethink my position on staying 2 OS iterations back.
